Fortnite: How to Unlock the Katalina Outfit Outside the EU

With the return of Fortnite to iOS in the European Union, Epic introduced a new set of free cosmetics cosmetics for players to unlock. The items were intended to be exclusive to mobile players in the EU, but a glitch that grants the rewards to anyone has been discovered.

To take advantage of the glitch, players should follow these steps:

  1. Find an Island Code for a map created in Creative 1.0 with XP enabled
    (we used 9061-5458-7889)
  2. Enter the chosen map in a private lobby with a friend
  3. Once the game has started, return to the lobby and leave your friend in the game
  4. Re-join the map whilst your friend is still in the session

Following these four steps will active the Katalina Quests for the player who re-joined the map, allowing them to earn the small amount of XP needed to unlock each cosmetic.

Players should note that since this method of unlocking the cosmetics is unintended, Epic are expected to resolve it soon. Anyone outside the EU who wishes to earn the cosmetics should do so now.
