Fortnite Live Event Explodes Redline Rig, Teases Doctor Doom

Fortnite's Chapter 5 Season 3 live event has finally happened, exploding the 'Redline Rig' POI and teasing Doctor Doom's return.

The sequence is the third in-game 'mini' live event of Chapter 5, following the pattern of previous Seasons with one happening before the next launches. Season 3's finale event saw character Megalo Don using Nitro to power an explosion at Redline Rig, which revealed Pandora's Box hidden under the sand. The box played a big part in the story for Season 2, and was first teased in Season 1 through the Valeria storyline. It's expected to remain a core part of the story through Season 4 too - much like Marvel character Doctor Doom. Doom also made a small appearance in the event itself, showing as a hologram directly above the Nitro reactor.

The aftermath of the event leaves the core structure of Redline Rig intact, now featuring a flaming Pandora's Box outside.

Season 4 launches on August 16, 2024. We'll keep you updated.
