The Outfit was originally sold in the Item Shop during the final three days of Chapter 1 in 2019, and was presented under a tag labelled 'Limited Time'.

'The Paradigm' in the Item Shop, 2019

Epic brought 'The Paradigm' back to the Shop on August 7th, but deleted it just two hours later, announcing that it would be removed from the lockers of players who obtained it during this time.

After seeing the community reaction to this news, Epic reviewed their decision and announced a change of plan - one that allows everyone to keep their Paradigm Outfits. Here's some key notes from Epic's latest announcement regarding the situation:

  • Players who purchased The Paradigm on August 7th can keep the Outfit
  • Players who purchased The Paradigm on August 7th have received a 1,200 V-Bucks refund
  • Players who purchased The Paradigm in 2019 will receive a brand new exclusive version in the future
  • Players who purchased The Paradigm in 2019 can refund without using a Refund Ticket, but won't keep the Outfit

This isn't the first time Epic have had to rush to create an emergency exclusive cosmetic - the GeForce Counterattack Bundle also received new cosmetics after accidentally appearing in the Item Shop in 2019.

It's currently unclear if The Paradigm will return in future rotations, but this seems unlikely. As always, we'll keep you updated if any additional information is shared.
