Fortnite's Rift Tour event featuring Ariana Grande has been nominated for 'Best Metaverse Performance' at the 2022 MTV Video Music Awards. The Live ceremony is set to take place on Sunday, August 28, 2022 at 8 PM ET / 5 PM PT.
Nominations for the Best Metaverse Performance category, which has been introduced for the first time this year, include:
- Fortnite: Rift Tour featuring Ariana Grande
- PUBG Mobile: BLACKPINK The Virtual
- Minecraft: BTS
- Roblox: Charlie XCX
- Roblox: Twenty One Pilots Concert Experience
- Wave: Justin Bieber - An Interactive Virtual Experience
