Maintenance Patch Announced for January 10
Epic Games has announced server downtime for a small maintenance patch which is scheduled to begin on Tuesday, January 10, 2023 at 4am ET.
We'll be undergoing a brief downtime starting at 4 AM ET to deploy a patch addressing several issues including bouncing with the Shockwave Hammer more often than intended. Downtime is expected to last about one hour. pic.twitter.com/6aF8BWImky

The unnamed patch will address a number of issues that have been present in Fortnite since the introduction of Chapter 4 and will also see the return of the Shockwave Hammer, which was removed from all playlists yesterday.
No new cosmetics or gameplay changes are expected to be introduced in the maintenance patch, but we'll keep you updated. Epic says server downtime will last for roughly one hour.
