Shotguns will be buffed with v6.31

Content Update v6.30 has just released but details on the upcoming v6.31 Patch have already been revealed. Eric Williamson, Design Lead at Epic Games, has confirmed over on Twitter that shotguns will be buffed in the next update:
The upcoming 6.31 update will include a Pump Shotgun rebalance to improve effectiveness: damage will increase in close quarters and range will be reduced slightly. Additionally, ALL shotguns will have a minimum damage of 3 pellets (even if only 1 or 2 hit).

Here's what is being done to them:
- Pump shotgun's damage increased in close quarters
- Pump shotgun's range reduced slightly
- All shotguns will have a minimum damage of 3 pellets
This is huge, you'll no longer be able to hit for 7 damage with a shotgun! What are your thoughts on these changes?
