Chapter 1 Live Events to Return in Fortnite OG Mode

Epic Games is reportedly preparing to replay the classic live events of Chapter 1 in Fortnite's OG mode.

During a recent livestream, streamer TimTheTatman revealed that Epic Games plans on replaying the classic live events for OG, saying, "In the document they [Epic] sent over, it says there is going to be live events again".

This potential feature would be a significant addition to the OG playlist, giving the mode more live events than Chapter 6 Battle Royale. If true, players will be able to experience all of Fortnite's special moments again – or for the first time – providing a unique opportunity to discover the magic of events that previously only happened once before.

The 'Blast Off' live event, Season 4

Fortnite's first live event was the 'Blast Off' rocket launch, which didn't happen until the end of Season 4. If Epic follow this timing, players shouldn't expect to see news of any OG events until June 2025, when Season 4 itself is estimated to return.

The decision to revisit Chapter 1's events would align with Epic's ongoing efforts to make Fortnite OG as true to the original as possible. At the time of writing, there has been no official confirmation from Epic Games regarding the potential return of old live events. We'll keep you updated.
