Just days into the launch of 'Fortnite OG', leakers have revealed what they believe to be the Chapter 5 Battle Royale Island, leaving some players concerned about the next Season.
According to reliable data miner PеQu, Epic accidentally left the Chapter 5 terrain in the game files for Fortnite's OG update, which is how it was discovered. Codenamed "Helios", the new Chapter is officially set to launch following the (second) end of Chapter 1 in early December.
The codename may reveal more than it shows at first - Helios, the ancient Greek god, is "often mixed with or represented as the Apollo". Interestingly, Apollo, another ancient Greek figure, was used by Epic as the codename for Chapter 2's Island. The use of the 'Helios' codename specifically suggests that Chapter 5's map is a remix with Apollo's - Chapter 2. If true, this could push a lot of players away from Battle Royale once again, as the Apollo Island was Fortnite's least popular Chapter to-date. Many have already expressed their concerns about the new map, saying they won't be playing if it really is a Chapter 2 remix.
At the time of writing, leakers say they can "almost guarantee" that 'Helios' will be used for Chapter 5. As is the case with all leaks, the map could be scrapped, changed, or even be proven to be fake before Chapter 5 launches. As always, we'll keep you updated.
