Fortnite Galactic Battle: New Map Revealed

Fortnite has officially revealed the updated map ahead of Battle Royale's 'Galactic Battle' launch, scheduled for May 2.

Following the official Season 3 announcement and Battle Pass reveal last week, Epic have shared a number of in-game images, along with a complete minimap preview. (seen below)

Coming Soon: Fortnite Galactic Battle's Minimap

The minimap confirms that 'Galactic Battle' will introduce four temporary Star Wars-themed locations to the Island, along with a number of Landmarks. Vader Samurai's Solitude, First Order Base, Resistance Base and Outpost Enclave all replace existing points of interest on the Chapter 6 Island. Each location is expected to feature its own Star Wars Boss character, in addition to friendly NPCs around the rest of the map.

The latest in-game screenshots also confirm that some Star Wars spacecraft will be functioning vehicles in-game, with an X-Wing spawn point seen in the image for 'Outpost Enclave'.
