Fortnite's 2023 summer event is just four days away. Here's everything we know so far, based on various leaks, rumours and official sources.
Summer Escape
This year's event, officially called 'Summer Escape', is set to run for exactly two weeks from July 4 at 9 AM ET. This will lead us straight into the next major update for Battle Royale on the 18th, which is expected to introduce new weapons, Augments and cosmetics.
Purradise Meowscles
Owners of the Chapter 4 Season 3 Battle Pass will be able to unlock the new 'Taste of Purradise' set from July 4th. The set contains 13 new cosmetics, all unlockable through special Quests:

- Calico-conut Back Bling
- Dune Scooper Pickaxe
- Beach Breezer Glider
- Self Reflecting Emote
- Calico Holiday Wrap
- Purradise Pattern Wrap
- Swole-cation Spray
- Crushin' Slap Emoticon
- Clawesome Meowscles Loading Screen
- Purradise Meowscles Loading Screen
- Purradise Vibes Music Pack
- Calico-conut Banner Icon
Unvaulted Items
Summer Escape will also see the return of some items from last year's event, including the Firework Flare Gun and Ice Cream Cones. The classic Flare Gun will be vaulted for the duration of the event.
Summer Quests
Like previous events, Summer Escape will also introduce new Quests that allow players to unlock free rewards. The rewards are currently encrypted in the files and have not been leaked, but we can expect to see a Back Bling, Pickaxe and Emote among them.
