Trios to be removed from Fortnite tomorrow
Fortnite has announced the removal of all Trios playlists with tomorrow's v24.40 update.
Please note that with the launch of v24.40, we will be vaulting the Trios team size in Battle Royale and Zero Build.

The Trios playlists were originally introduced as Limited Time Modes in January 2019, but later became core modes in 2021. The option to select 'Trios' will be removed with tomorrow's update, affecting both Zero Build and classic Battle Royale. Although Epic didn't provide a reason for the unexpected vaulting, it's thought to be a decision fuelled by low player counts.
It's possible we could see Trios return as a Limited Time Mode in the future. We'll keep you updated.
