Fortnite Announces Short Nite Film Festival 2022

Fortnite's next 'Short Nite' event has been announced for Thursday, May 12, 2022.

Starting May 12 at 2PM ET, players will be able to use the new Short Nite row in the Discover page to watch a selection of nine animated shorts - three of which will premiere in Fortnite. A tenth Short is also featured as part of the festival, however, it will not have its own theatre venue and will be split in three parts that can be viewed in the loop of all films.

Upon selecting a short to watch, players will be transported to its individual theatre room where it and the remaining eight can all be viewed. Parties including up to seven additional players are supported in this mode, with groups larger than this split up automatically. Players will also be able to watch the short films via Fortnite's Picture-in-Picture feature when playing Creative , Battle Royale and more. This option can be enabled through the settings in-game.

Snackin' Emote

Starting Wednesday, May 11, at 8 PM ET, the new Snackin' Emote will be featured in the Item Shop.

In other news, Fortnite has unvaulted the Hunting Rifle, Air Strike and Flint-Knock Pistol.
