Fortnite Buffs Controller Aim Assist

Epic Games has quietly buffed controller aim assist, reversing the controversial Chapter 2 nerf.

In a new hotfix released on June 20, Epic quietly increased the outer pull strength of controller aim assist, applying the following changes:

  • Hip fire increased from 0.5 to 0.6
  • ADS increased from 0.4 to 0.6

These changes effectively reverse a heavy nerf Fortnite applied to aim assist in May 2020, which significantly reduced the strength of every value for both inner and outer pull. While the latest changes only adjust the outer values, players should still notice a stronger aim assist when using a controller.

At the time of writing, Epic have not officially announced these changes publicly. We'll keep you updated. Source: Osirion
