Fortnite Returns to the iOS App Store

Apple has officially approved Epic's Fortnite submission, bringing the game back to the iOS App Store for players in the United States for the first time in five years.

Originally banned from the App Store in all regions due to the inclusion of alternate payment methods, which were not allowed under Apple's rules at the time, Fortnite returned to iOS this week. Climbing to the top of the free-to-play charts, Fortnite mobile offers the same experiences as other platforms, available to download on the following devices in the United States:

  • iPhone SE (3rd generation)
  • iPhone 12
  • iPhone 12 Mini
  • iPhone 12 Pro
  • iPhone 12 Pro Max

  • iPhone 13 Pro Max
  • iPhone 14
  • iPhone 14 Plus
  • iPhone 14 Pro
  • iPhone 14 Pro Max
  • iPhone 15

  • iPhone 16

In a post to X, Epic CEO Tim Sweeney thanked those who supported the case, saying "Thanks to everyone who supported the effort to open up mobile competition and #FreeFortnite from the very beginning. And thanks to all of the folks who initially sided with Apple then later came around to the winning side, supporting app developer rights and consumer rights".

For now, Fortnite mobile is only available in the United States (App Store) and the European Union (Epic Games Store).
