How to get the free Velocity Edge Pickaxe in Fortnite

To promote the arrival of Fortnite on Luna, Epic Games has teamed up with Amazon to give players a free in-game Pickaxe.

To unlock the free reward, players are required to log into Fortnite through Amazon Luna, which recently added the Battle Royale to its collection of cloud games. Luna is currently only available in the United Kingdom, United States, Germany and Canada, so the Pickaxe is exclusive to players from these countries.

All players who login using Amazon Luna at least once before July 17, 2023, at 11:59 PM ET, will unlock the free cosmetic. The Velocity Edge Pickaxe will be sent to Lockers within seven days after July 19, 2023.

To login with Luna, head to Amazon.com/Luna. An Amazon Prime subscription is required to play Fortnite.

Epic says the Pickaxe "may become available for purchase in the Item Shop at a later date", but this hasn't been the case for last year's free GeForce NOW cosmetic so far.
