Leak: Fortnite x LEGO Coming Soon

According to reliable leaker GMatrixGames on Twitter, it looks like a Fortnite x LEGO crossover could be happening later this year. Epic Games is reportedly working on something in the yet-to-be-released Unreal Editor for Fortnite (UEFN) that involves LEGO bricks, including a full 'Brick Database'.

This potential collaboration doesn't come as a complete surprise. Epic Games has a long-term partnership with The LEGO Group, which was formed back in April 2022 to "give kids access to tools that will empower them to become confident creators and deliver amazing play opportunities in a safe and positive space".

Codenamed 'Juno', the test servers being used for this project are currently set to version 26.00 of Fortnite, meaning it's likely that the LEGO collaboration will be released during Chapter 4 Season 4 - in September this year. GMatrixGames has theorised that the upcoming collaboration could feature a LEGO-themed island, but nothing is confirmed. While the leaker emphasizes "this will not be for normal UEFN builders to use", the exact details of LEGO x Fortnite remain unknown for now.

As for what players can expect to see from the collaboration, it's extremely likely that there will be a set of LEGO-inspired cosmetics available in the Item Shop. There's currently no evidence to suggest this, but it would be a huge missed opportunity for Epic to work with LEGO and not introduce cosmetics for players to purchase.

As is the case with all leaks, it's important to note that anything can change before the crossover's expected launch later this year. More information is expected to be revealed in the months leading up to Chapter 4 Season 4. As always, we'll keep you updated.
